Commenter ws thanks Ignasz for writing the article, perhaps jokingly. Ignasz withheld the "source" information until the end for some reason, possibly a good one. I was aware of this document thanks to Rounding the Earth (Mathew Crawford) and one of his regular guests, Kristin Elizabeth, from earlier this year. Some way through reading, I realized that these were not Ignasz's words but words from the NATO document.

If memory serves, I subscribed to this substack before hearing Ignasz's interview with Delingpole in April, which impressed me greatly. I subscribe to many substacks just to keep an eye on them, and read a small number of selected posts. In the last few days I have read three of the most recent VST posts, and I'm going through the process of of realizing that Ignasz is (in my opinion) one of the very best observers and commentators on current history. And I'm talking about maybe half a dozen of them. Very Slow Thinking is superb.

Loved this article. Thank you for writing it. I read every word. App says I read 17%. That's cognitive warfare. Incredibly annoying feature, so I wanted to tell you I read the whole thing. Such a great essay. It *deserves* to be fully read. Is the app trying to make readers look like lightweights? Or trying to make writers feel like no-one cares?
